Pakistani Thank You’s

 This is incredible.

And I share it here because YOU are part of this beautiful work. Without your prayers and your donations, none of this could have happened. Please take a moment to look at these pictures, read this testimony and prayerfully discern donating something little more to help in these projects. This week is THANKSGIVING and we in the United States have SO MUCH to be thankful for... these persecuted Christians can benefit so much from your simple kindness.

To donate, please contribute either 1.) directly through PayPal, 2.) through this Facebook fundraiser (see post below) or 3.) through this gofundme link:

"Please accept "Thank you" from my country...

Greetings

I am writing this email to say thank you to you, Mary, for all you have done and doing for our people. A few days back, three women came to me and said they wanted to say thank you to you. Then I asked them to write a thank you note. Then I really did not know how this news spread. To my surprise many children, women and teachers sent their simple way of thanking you for your wisdom and spirituality.

Even a family came and the mother said that she has six daughters. She told me while she was crying that the father used to beat these girls because he wanted sons. But after attending sessions with teachers who teach children of the cross, he has grown to accept the dignity of women.  Now he is respecting his daughters and sending them to pray for our children of the cross group.

Every day I am listening to these kinds of witnesses from my people. Last week a young girl came to me with her brother and said that please teach us how to pray. I sent them to children of the cross group. Hope  the brother and sister will learn something deep.

I am sharing a few pictures with you, but believe me I have got countless pictures and so many witnesses.

And, personally, I am also very grateful to you for the seed of love, hope, life and light in my culture through your books. New conversions are everyday praying and really crying with tears because for the first time they have found the truth and peace in their lives, and this happened because of you.

Miracles are happening here. I am really surprised that even non Catholic leaders and pastors have asked me to include the message and texts from your books in their Sunday school books. I have heard with my own ears catholic priests mentioning about your books in their Sunday sermons.

Our people are really, spiritually, thirsty and hungry. Thanks for being their spiritual water and food.

And I really can not forget to say thank you to Dr. Sebastian who is always there for us. He is always part of our prayers. Many blessings for you and your family from me and my Country.

God bless you both, and I will write more very soon. Again thank you very much from my country."

“Raising Children of the Cross: the Spiritual Formation of Children “ is Now Available!

 God bless you all!

My NEW BOOK about the spiritual formation of children is NOW available in paperback on Amazon. Click below to get copies as gifts for Christmas.

What awesome gifts to give your children's teachers and catechists at school!

Unfortunately, Facebook has blocked all links directly to my Catholic publisher's pages (En Route Media and Books) about my books -but if you put the title in google I am sure it will come up. Also there will be more information on my website soon (also blocked by Facebook) at www. marykloskafiat .com

The book is connected to (but NOT limited to) the Apostolate I started called 'Children of the Cross' which is prayer groups of children who gather monthly or weekly (and in Pakistan daily) to pray for priests and persecuted Christians. This present book will help in the formation of these groups, but it is in no way limited to just those who gather children to pray. It has to do with spiritual formation of children in general.

Coming from a family of 13 children and many foster children and having 75 nieces and nephews my entire life has always been children. And having served in orphanages and teaching children in missions all over the world has really caused me to spend lots of time praying about the spiritual formation of children. And presently having been a nanny to many large families I have been able to implement what the Lord has shown me about children on a day to day basis. I hope and pray that this book is a gift to all of you as well.

Episode 82: Mary Kloska Speaks About Christian Artists

Title: Episode 82: Mary Kloska Speaks About Christian Artists

Description: In this episode, Mary talks about the theology of being an artist. She draws from the Catechism's teachings on Christian art (specifically icons, but embracing paintings, sculptures, music, architecture, poetry, theater and even technological art). Mary also draws heavily from St. Pope John Paul II's 'Letter to Artists' in 1999. She talks about the spirituality of meeting and reflecting the image of the Creator in the process of creating art. And she also explains the importance of working with the Holy Spirit (the Breath of God Who is the Author of all human inspiration) in creating beauty that glorifies and points to Heaven.

Episode 81: Mary Kloska Speaks About Every Christian's Missionary Call

Title: Episode 81: Mary Kloska Speaks About Every Christian's Missionary Call

Description: In this episode, Mary discusses every Christian's call to be a missionary. In Baptism each soul is given a missionary vocation. Some people live this radically in foreign countries or public realms, but just as profound is the effect that hidden souls have living out the missionary mandate of Christ. St. Therese of Lisieux is the patron saint of the missions and she shows us how it is more from love and prayer than any actions or words in themselves that we can preach the Gospel and shine the Light of Jesus in this world.

Episode 80: Mary Kloska Speaks About Tithing and Almsgiving

When I recorded and planned my podcast for this week, I was totally following the Holy Spirit -I didn't realize that the Sunday Mass readings were about this very topic: singlehearted love for God, keeping one's heart and treasure for Him and the gift of tithing and almsgiving. When I saw it all line up, I realized that He must really want to share this message with you.

I won't be able to put SNIPPETS of this up this week, so I ask you to PLEASE hit the link below and watch this, like this and share it. Its an important message for the world.
And if it inspires you to want to help donate to spread the gospel, please see our gofundme link:
Title: Episode 80: Mary Kloska Speaks About Tithing and Almsgiving
Description: In this episode, Mary Kloska talks about the important age-old spiritual practice of tithing 10% of what one has to the Lord and the importance of almsgiving not only for those one helps, but also for the soul of the giver. She goes through the Scriptural basis of tithing, showing where the Lord asks this of us in Scripture (both the Old and New Testament). She shares a children's book about 'Roxy the Ritzy Camel' and how one has to rid themselves of attachment to material items in order to enter heaven. And she shares the wisdom of the saints speaking about this practice of tithing and almsgiving as well.

Update on Pakistani Projects -Missionaries and Children of the Cross

Please see the photos below and read the captions.

As my work in the US and on Social Media has been greatly tempered by opposing forces :), God is bearing unfathomable fruit in the Middle East. For example, I could only find a small handful of people willing to pray with their children on First Fridays as part of our Apostolate 'Children of the Cross' who pray for priests and persecuted Christians. And yet, our groups are growing in number, diverseness (Christians and non-Christians alike) and in intensity in the Middle East. These children of Pakistan meet at least weekly (some meet multiple times during the week depending on the circumstances) to support our work with prayer. Its really incredible.

Below is an excerpt from my translator in Pakistan reporting on the work taking place there. We soon will be reaching those suffering Christians persecuted in Afghanistan and although I cannot share details, I ask for prayers for them as well:

"This morning during Sunday service we had a blessings ceremony to bless and send the first missionary to Sindh. It was a historical event here. In the morning in one church I spoke about the value and significance of mission work. I witnessed that I did not ask anybody to go on a mission but this is the only result of a book “A Heart frozen in the wilderness”. And of course this is all happening because of the Holy Spirit and Our Lady.

These missionaries also have some family and cultural blessing ceremonies at home as well.

The place they are going is called Sindh. This is about more than one thousand KM far from our place. This is another province. It will take them about two days to reach. This place is indeed a deserving place. In this place, the feudal system is active. Rich people treat the poor as their own property. Girls are raped and no reports at all. Children and girls have stopped going to school. I had been doing my pastoral work here for more than three years when I was in the seminary. But still this place is the same. People are extremely poor. No money at all to buy. Their owner gives them daily bread. This place is really similar to Siberia. Thanks for sharing your experiences in book form, now really touching my country. I have shared a few pictures with you.

So we are hopeful with these missionaries a ray of hope, light, life and peace will be shared. I have given about one 100 copies of “A heart frozen in wilderness” and a few copies of “Out of darkness” and “Holiness of womanhood”. This place really needs these books. I could not give them more copies as we already have finished them. Only a few left.

I have also shared a few pictures of Children of the Cross. Children of the Cross are really growing in number and spirituality. There are children of other religions as well. These children are praying faithfully and regularly. Thank God for your coming book on children formation. We are really in need of this book. It is sad that we lack material for children. But thank you to you.

Regarding the Dari project...thanks for your prayers, without prayers this huge project would have been not possible. Thank God everything is going according to plan (God’s plan).
...

Translation of “Morning with Mary” is going well too.

Mission work, children of the Cross and conversion are growing daily. We are praying for you and for our needs as well. God may provide financial aid.

Thank God, thanks Mother Mother and thank you very much to you Mary!

Without your prayers and books we never thought about what we are experiencing here. God is active and visible through your books.

Blessings"

Episode 79: Mary Kloska Speaks About Media, Evangelization and St. Maximillian Kolbe and Bl. Carlo Acutis

Its no secret that social media has been having a hayday censoring and blacklisting me -daily I receive notices that their community standards don't like my rosaries, my books, even just my name or pictures of my art... And while this can be disconcerting, we all know that God has the upper hand. I look to the saints who went before us to inspire and pray for my work in this regard. And they are the impetus behind this week's podcast. I hope you will take a few minutes, listen, enjoy, share, like, etc., When we each do our little part, the whole world changes.

Title: Episode 79: Mary Kloska Speaks About Media, Evangelization and St. Maximillian Kolbe and Bl. Carlo Acutis
Description: In this episode, Mary talks about the work of spreading the Gospel in the world. She speaks both about the great fortune of having modern technology at our fingertips, but also about the struggle that the world will put up against the Light of Christ. She uses two modern-day saints to show us the way through the web of media and technology -how they harnessed the good and fought the bad in their own missions. Explaining the life and work of both St. Maximillian Kolbe and Bl. Carlo Acutis, she inspires the listener to ever push forward to glorify the Lord throughout the entire world through modern ways of evangelization.

Episode 77: Mary Kloska Speaks About the Spiritual Letters of the Saints

Title: Episode 77: Mary Kloska Speaks About the Spiritual Letters of the Saints

Description: In this episode, Mary discusses the great spiritual value of the exchange of letters in the lives of the saints. Sometimes written to encourage each other, at other times to admonish, at other times to exchange daily information -the letters of the saints always help the reader know their personality better and bring to light the depth of their love of God incarnate in all aspects of their lives. Deeply spiritually edifying are the excerpts from the spiritual letters of a dozen saints that Mary shares with the listener. In a world that has lost the art of writing letters, we should take a lesson from these saints who have gone before us.
